The Alexandria Safe Zone has become their home. Daryl, helping Rick keep things in working order, has become used to the attention that comes with leading a community. However, when Beth starts earning the attention of a certain member in their society, how will Daryl react?
Daryl and Beth find themselves alone for the first time since arriving at the Alexandria Safe Zone.
SEASON 7 SPOILERS. Leaves off from the end of the S7 premiere. Daryl’s POV. At Negan’s compound, he finds a very familiar face. The pair, along with help from a certain Savior, escape the Sanctuary. (Bethyl slow burn.)
Beth gets taken from Daryl nearly a year earlier at the funeral home. She’s taken to Grady Memorial Hospital but from there she’s taken once more. The people that take her, they’re viscous and vile and they can no longer be considered human in a world like this. She has been gone for a year, more or less, and has had unspeakable things done to her. She soon realizes she’s on her own and takes it upon herself to escape and when she finally succeeds she sets off on her own. She’s broken and a completely different form of herself.
With her family living at Alexandria what will happen when their lives intertwine with hers again. Does she still love them? Will she stay? Is she too broken to even heal and come back to herself? Or will new romances brew as the new Beth continues to surprise herself and others.
Beth didn’t die, in fact she has fought to survive and find her way home. She isn’t scared anymore and the scars on her wrists are a reminder of who she isn’t.

My version of what might happen to Daryl and Beth after Season 4’s Mid-Finale.
Daryl and Carol save Beth. But Beth went through more than they knew and Daryl is there for her.
Beth and Daryl are reunited in Alexandria but can they figure out a way to bridge the gap in their relationship? Beth seems broken and Daryl is just angry. Can they navigate their relationship now that they are back together? Beth is no longer the doe-eyed innocent from before. Daryl is no longer the brooding angry soul. What does all this mean for them?
Written before season 5 had started, this is just a reunion drabble set in my dreams where Beth makes it out on her own.
What may have happened if Beth had not been killed in S5 “Coda”. Where would her relationship with Daryl have gone?
