Daryl and Aaron find Beth on a scouting trip. It’s been months since Daryl left her seemingly lifeless body back at the hospital. She’s been surviving all alone with only a scraggly dog for company, and it will take Daryl’s help to help her adjust to life within the safety of ASZ’s walls.
The word hangs between them, suffocating and feather-light at the same time. The moment is too precious to last if he doesn’t say something, doesn’t do something. But he’s paralyzed, can’t even breathe…
Beth is very different. Fiercely independent, trying desperately to hang onto her father’s property in the Georgia countryside. On her own, a bit lonely, she comes across a drifter that goes by the name of Daryl.
When Beth came back alive, everything pretty was worn out of her. But that doesn’t mean she doesn’t miss it. It doesn’t mean she doesn’t miss what she’s lost. And it doesn’t mean she doesn’t want Daryl to help her find it again.
Beth is in a minor car accident, and Daryl seems to be more concerned with missing out on a prized buck.
When Beth finds herself a widow with two young sons to care for, she heads back home, to the farm she grew up on. Wanting to give her boys a good solid upbringing, she cant help but worry if she is making the right decision? Is she ruining her boys life? Will they be happy? And what about the neighboring farmer?
Beth is self conscious about her small breasts. Daryl makes sure she knows exactly how he feels about that.
