Beth is on a beach trip with her friends, where she turns out to be the fifth wheel. Daryl is a lifeguard who was just minding his own business until he came across a girl who thought it was safe to swim all alone in the ocean at night.
A lot can happen in one night. Is it really that easy to fall in love? Maybe.
Beth has finally had enough. The looks she gets makes her feel crippled and weak. The prison is taken off guard by her rampage, especially Daryl Dixon.
There are only so many places to hide at the end of the world. And some of them are small and some of them are cramped. Doesn’t mean they can’t make the best out of a bad situation though. Doesn’t mean that at all.
Abolesco (v.) The Latin word for ‘vanish’. In the aftermath of the prison attack Daryl Dixon finds himself burdened with untrained teenager Beth Greene. The two search in the hope to find more survivors, but they are pulled into finding more and more about each other and ultimately themselves.

She moves her hand away from where she’s tucked the blanket over his shoulder, to the crook where his neck meets his shoulder, and rests her palm there – nails scratching just so at his skin. Admittedly agreeing to be Beth’s plus one to her sister’s wedding was probably not the smartest decision Daryl had ever made. But boy were the consequences worth it.

This story follows the events of The Walking Dead Season 5 Midseason finale, and is an alternate tragic ending to the Beth and Daryl fan fiction “I Will Follow You Into the Dark”.
