Beth is on a beach trip with her friends, where she turns out to be the fifth wheel. Daryl is a lifeguard who was just minding his own business until he came across a girl who thought it was safe to swim all alone in the ocean at night.

Beth and Daryl are finally reunited at Terminus, only it isn’t the happily ever after they had both imagined.

Merle’s always been one to play to stereotypes; in his mind, cat-calling women is just another day on the job. Daryl’s trained himself to ignore it—at least until a certain blonde walks into his life and refuses to walk back out.
After Beth returns to the group, her and Daryl don’t so much as begin to love one another but fall into it, like soul mates separated for a millennia finally reunited, and they learn each other’s stories by reading the marks on their skin.

One-shot Bethyl-smut inspired from an interview with Norman Reedus I read where he described his character, Daryl Dixon, as having “no game with women”. “I’d rather be the guy who is completely awkward and has no game.
