bethyl one shot. takes place in the setting of TWD season 4 episode 12 (“still”). expansion of (and divergence from canon) the country club scene, in particular, with a whole lot of dialogue, character development and stuff/thangs that never actually existed outside of my mind (but should have!), and some smut.

Beth Greene just needed to feel. She wanted to remember what it was like. After months of not doing anything but ache, she finds herself in a no-name bar in the middle of no-name Georgia and to her surprise peach schnapps, tattoos, and bartenders are just what the doctor ordered.

Had he been less drunk, Daryl Dixon would have been scared to death. In one night Beth had breached then shattered the fortress he had spent a lifetime forging around his heart. Every brick, stone and daub of mortar now lay as dust at her feet.
